Two people injured after a shootout in Miami Gardens

Two men were injured during a Saturday night shootout outside a Miami Gardens home, according to the City of Miami Gardens.

At 7 pm, the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the house at 2420 NW 159 St., in the Bunche Park neighborhood.

A Miami Gardens spokesman, Petula Burks, said one man was injured when one bullet struck him and the other was shot.

The Fire Corps took them to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Burks said in an e-mail that the man who was shot was in stable condition.
